My First Time in Uganda: Daily Life, Poverty & Modernity

Hi, I’m Chloe, and here’s a short Vlog I’ve done for the COINS Foundation & Habitat for Humanity Great Britain. It’s just a few minutes of me outlining my first time in Uganda: first experience and impressions of the country, its modernity, wealth and poverty. I was lucky enough to join the film crew this February on a two week trip. We visited a rural secondary school with the non-profit organisation PEAS and installed solar power, which was part of a COINS Foundation project. We also worked with the international development and housing charity Habitat for Humanity. Together with their team we visited five different families who are taking out small micro finance loans to improve their homes, and gradually bring themselves out of poverty.
