I'm Selling My Van - Broken Vanlife Dreams

In this video I talk about my decision to sell my van. Originally this video was supposed to be a triumphant video of me getting my van running again, but it died again after 45 minutes of driving, and I have realized that I am done with it. Realistically I am not going to work on this thing until summer is over, and then after that who knows if I'll even work on over the winter, so it might be sitting for a solid 9 months before I get around to working on it. At that point it will be more than just getting it running again, because I will have to drive it a bunch to make sure that it is in fact running right, and to bring it up to my own standards it will require even more work. It's not in bad condition overall, but my Originally van build is tired, and being 28 years old now, it just needs even more work to make it perfect. It's definitely worth it for someone else to rebuild it as their project, but I am over it. I built this thing as the ultimate 4x4 adventure GMC Safari rig to live the vanlife in, and I did just that. I spent something like 250 nights in this thing, I've covered 3 provinces, thousands of kilometers, started a YouTube channel, earned cash side hustling with it, and I am officially done with it. Other than my sentimental feelings towards it, I have gotten all the use out of this van that I wanted to get, and it is just time for me to move on into other projects. This is not the ideal way for my journey with this van to end, nor will I be maximizing the value of my investment, but ultimately it is time. Originally I bought this as a $2000 van, so maxing out my sales price on this van isn't critically important. I have gotten enough value out of this thing to justify all the money I have spent, so getting a half decent selling price, or parting it out will really just be gravy on top of all the good memories I have in this van.
