Sony has made it clear that physical PlayStation game production will end in January 2028, but I don't think this is just about cutting manufacturing costs. In this video, I explain why I believe Sony is rushing toward an all-digital future before physical media has a chance to make a real comeback. Vinyl records returned. Blu-rays and 4K collections are growing. Physical game collecting is becoming more popular every year.
