The water essential to sake is the spring water, Kamisui, from which the place's name is derived. This ultra-soft water, with a hardness of 0.2, has produced gentle, smooth sake. The water veins of the land. The earth's veins. And the veins of the people. Maku, a rental inn born from the accumulation of time. Renovated from a former post office built over 100 years ago, this place allows you to taste local food, experience sake, and take deep breaths in the sauna. It's not a flashy tourist destination.
