Jews have one holy day each week called Shabbat or Shabes. On this day, we don't use the phone, computer, watch TV, or work. We gather as a family, chat, read, play, and go for walks. And, most importantly, we gather around the festive table to eat delicious food! I've long been asked to show the salads I make for Shabbat. I don't make restaurant-style salads. I make simple and inexpensive salads. And, of course, the choice of salads depends on the season. In the summer, there are lots of vegetable salads, eggplant, zucchini, and so on.
