Red Guard: Shock Troopers Of The Coruscant Guard

"Red Guard: Shock Troopers of the Coruscant Guard" is a tribute to the Shock Troopers of the Coruscant Guard, the crimson-armored clone troopers who protected the heart of the Galactic Republic on Coruscant. Known for their loyalty, discipline, and unwavering obedience, these clones served as the security force of the Senate and the personal enforcers of the Supreme Chancellor. Through the eyes of the guards themselves, this song explores their role during the Clone Wars — standing watch over the capital, defending the Republic against threats, and carrying out orders without question. It also touches on the tragic moment when loyalty and duty were turned against the very ideals they believed they were protecting. This unit is both controversial and heavily disliked by many fans and even other clones, as they essentially acted as the Republic’s military police. Their duties included patrolling the streets of the capital, quelling riots, enforcing military law, and guarding politicians such as Senators and the Chancellor himself. While other clone units fought brutal campaigns across the galaxy and suffered massive losses at places like Geonosis, Mimban, and Umbara, the Coruscant Guard were often stationed in the capital protecting government officials and civilians. That is not to say they never fought on the front lines. Lieutenant Thire, Jek, and Rys distinguished themselves on the moon of Rugosa, helping defeat a battalion of droids and securing an alliance alongside Master Yoda. Commander Stone and his men battled the pirates of Florrum alongside Jar Jar Binks. Perhaps the most beloved member of the Guard was Commander Thorn, who made a heroic last stand on Scipio, shouting “FOR THE REPUBLIC!” as he fought overwhelming odds. However, what would permanently stain the reputation of the Coruscant Guard was the death of ARC Trooper Fives at the hands of Commander Fox — earning Fox the title among many fans as "the most hated clone." Branded as unstable and dangerous, Fives had uncovered the truth about the inhibitor chips, Order 66, and Chancellor Palpatine’s plot against the Jedi. Even worse, members of the Guard heard parts of the truth but still carried out their orders to neutralize him, later going on to execute Order 66 and serve the newly formed Empire. But in the end, the clones of the Coruscant Guard were what they had always been engineered to be: soldiers bred for obedience. Bound by duty, loyalty, and command protocols, they followed orders exactly as they were designed to — even when those orders helped bring about the fall of the Republic they believed they were sworn to protect. Lyrics: (Verse 1) Crimson shadows on Coruscant skies, Standing watch where the Senate lies, Fox at the helm with a veteran’s stare, Shock troopers ready, always there, Thire at the gates in crimson light, Reese and Jek stand guard through the night, Hound in pursuit through the rain, Law and order through fire and flame, (Chorus) Red Guard! Hear the thunder cry, Echoing through Coruscant’s sky, We held the line, we took the blow, Never questioning where we’d go, Crimson armor, battle-scarred, We were forged to serve, we are the red guard, (Verse 2) Stone on Florrum in blaster haze, Holding the line through pirate raids, Thorn surrounded, blasters ignite, “For the Republic!” into the fight, Steel against a thousand guns, Buying time till the battle’s done, Shielding leaders in chambers high, Standing watch as the Jedi passed by, (Chorus) Red Guard! Hear the thunder cry, Echoing through Coruscant’s sky, We held the line, we took the blow, Never questioning where we’d go, Crimson armor, battle-scarred, We were forged to serve, we are the red guard, (Bridge) Fives cried truth with fading breath, Warning of chips and a coming threat, Bound by command where a brother stood, Fox pulled the trigger for the Chancellor’s good, Then the Order came with a coded name, And loyalty turned into a cruel flame, Temple halls in crimson light, Hunting heroes through the night, We thought we served the Republic still — But an empires rose on our obedient will, (Outro) Red Guard… we swore to shield The Republic’s flame on every field, Blind to the hand that shaped the game, And bound our fate in duty’s name, We held the line in shining halls, But never saw the shadow fall, We thought we stood on justice’s side, But we marched where freedom died. 🎧 Listen, share, and reflect. 💬 Let me know in the comments what you think. 🔔 Subscribe for more Star Wars tributes! 👍 Like, comment, and share to honor the legacy of the Clones! #StarWars #TheCloneWars #CloneTrooper #CloneTroopers #Tribute #coruscant #red #order66
