One of the Most Chaotic Skateboarding Games You'll Ever Play

While we eagerly await the release of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 Remastered, let’s jump back to the early 2000s and revisit the wildest, most chaotic game in the series: Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 on the PS2. After such a positive response to the previous retrospectives, it was only right to keep going, and THUG2 is next in line. This entry brought some of the best gameplay and soundtrack in the entire franchise, but also a story mode that’s… very much a product of its time. In this video, I break down THUG2’s gameplay, level design, wild story mode, bonus content and unforgettable soundtrack, and answer the question: Does it still hold up today? Whether you loved the Bam vs. Tony chaos or cringed at the Jackass vibes, THUG2 left a mark. 00:00 Intro 00:56 Background of the Game 02:00 Gameplay 04:20 Level Design 06:00 Story 12:10 Features (including Bonus Content) 13:08 Soundtrack 14:12 Does It Hold Up?
