What does the afterlife look like? If there is an afterlife, what does it look like? When we describe the afterlife, we do so through the accounts of others, and these descriptions are based on coherent and consistent testimony (everyone says the same thing) that comes from three groups of different and independent sources. The three categories are: • People who report a deathbed experience before death. These people have a vision of the afterlife in the 36 to 24 hours before death. These are a momentary glimpse of a reality that is not the earthly one. • Near-death experiences: clinical situations in which there is no consciousness, people have an experience common among very different individuals and form very long memories, have true perceptions of the environment from an external point of view, and exhibit behavioral changes, which are common to those going through that experience. These sources can also be considered reliable. • The dead, disembodied personalities, who continue to exist after the body has ceased to exist. Can we trust these sources? What can we do with this information?
