Northern Spider #1 is the first issue of a Russian independent comic (fan-inspired, but featuring an original character) by artist and concept artist Evgeny Zubkov. He's an ordinary college student, lives with his grandmother, and goes out at night to patrol the neighborhood in a homemade suit. ❄️Spider-like Siberian business: Nikita doesn't worry about moral philosophy like Peter. He simply sees bandits and intervenes. In the first issue, he stumbles upon a group of thugs who, on orders from the local "boss," are climbing a power pole to cut wires (a classic of the 2000s). ❄️Creation of the First Villain: During the fight, Northern Spider defeats one of them, a burly bandit named Hera. In the process, Hera receives a powerful electric shock (about 400 volts) while still overheating. Instead of dying, he mutates and gains the ability to control electricity. Thus, Nikita, through his own carelessness, "gives birth" to his first supervillain—the future Electrician (or Siberian Tick in some references). ❄️Atmosphere and Everyday Life: The issue depicts not only the action but also the hero's everyday life—apartment buildings, snow, academic problems, his grandmother Taisiya Ivanovna, and a typical Russian outback.
