In today’s vlog, we travel from the breathtaking Skardu Valley to the beautiful Blind Lake (Zharba Cho), located near Shigar Valley, about an hour from Skardu. Did you know why it’s called Blind Lake? In the Balti language, “Zharba” means Blind and “Cho” means Lake. The lake is formed by crystal-clear spring water, but the true source of this spring remains a mystery. Since no one knows exactly where the water comes from, the lake became known as Blind Lake. For this adventure, we chose the Chumik route, one of the most challenging roads leading to the lake. The journey takes us through rough off-road tracks, sandy desert landscapes, a small village, and a dramatic mountain road carved right through the middle of massive rocky cliffs. Every kilometer offers breathtaking scenery and an unforgettable adventure. After the challenging ride, we finally reach the stunning turquoise waters of Blind Lake, where tourists enjoy boating, relaxing, and taking in the peaceful natural beauty.
