Fairy Festival August 29th-30th, 2026 (Saturday & Sunday) August 29th: Eve Festival from 3 PM (scheduled to end around 8 PM) August 30th: Fairy Festival from 11:30 AM (scheduled to end around 6 PM) Location: Both days at the Music Hall and its plaza near Lake Megami (the Music Hall is about a 5-minute walk from Lake Megami) Admission: Free on both days. Everyone is welcome to participate. Contents: Lots of songs, dances, plays, and more. Around 40 stalls will be at the market. You'll be able to make friends quickly, even if you're meeting someone for the first time. A day to play with fairies. It's back again this year! Lake Megami: The nearest station is Sakudaira Station on the Shinkansen. However, it's a remote location with no public transportation. Because of this, the natural atmosphere is wonderful. The most reliable way to get there from Sakudaira Station is by taxi. However, it will cost around 13,000 yen, so if possible, try carpooling with other attendees; this might make the experience even more enjoyable. At Sakudaira Station, people start chatting with each other about their plans to visit Lake Megami or the Fairy Festival – the fun of the Fairy Festival begins right there! There's also a route from the Chuo Line. If you're attending both the pre-festival and the Fairy Festival, you'll need accommodation, either overnight stays in your car or other means. There are many guesthouses and hotels around Lake Megami, so we recommend making reservations in advance. If you stay on August 29th, you can enjoy both days. If you're coming by car, there are plenty of free parking lots in the area. Let's meet at Lake Megami in the Tateshina highlands at the end of summer! There will be around 40 stalls at the market, so please be sure to check them out. The event will proceed rain or shine. In case of rain, the venue will be a gymnasium very close to Lake Megami. In this case, there may be changes to the scheduled performances.
