In today's video, we're going to Estação das Docas in Belém, Pará! We'll explore its warehouses, its gastronomy, and its wonderful regional ice creams at Sorveteria Cairu and Gelateria da Amazônia! Come and discover it with us! Estação das Docas is an example of a revitalized area in favor of tourism! Estação das Docas is a tourist complex that was formerly part of the Port of Belém. Currently, it is one of the main leisure spots for the people of Pará and an indispensable place to visit for tourists. The tourist and cultural complex brings together diverse environments, combining gastronomy, culture, fashion, and events. It has 32,000 square meters divided into three warehouses and a passenger terminal, a window to the Guajará Bay and the Ilha das Onças (Island of the Jaguars). The Estação das Docas (Dock Station) is one of the most enjoyable attractions in the city of Belém. Located on the banks of the Guajará Bay, it was revitalized in 2000 and has now become one of the most beautiful landmarks of Belém do Pará! If you have time during your visit to the Estação das Docas, it's worth spending the day here, starting with a beautiful boat trip on the Guajará Bay and the Guamã River. With departures in the morning and also at dusk, the Valeverde Turismo boat tour passes along the Belém waterfront and offers a beautiful view of the city. During the trip there is also live music and performances of typical dances, such as the carimbó, which always liven up the tourists and get everyone dancing. I've included the prices in the video! Enjoy the late afternoon, when the sunset colors the sky and makes the place even more beautiful! The Estação das Docas is a must-see in Belém. In fact! At Estação das Docas, you'll find the Amazon Beer factory, a local brewery that makes a wonderful blend of hops and Amazonian fruits. If you're not into beer, like me, it's definitely worth trying some of the wonderful and exotic flavors at Sorveteria Cairu, as we did. There are many options, and after trying several of them, we finally found the most incredible flavor – it's even award-winning! At least we got to have lunch here, so we tried the Filhote à Moda do Chefe dish at Estação Grill, a restaurant frequented by Belém residents, located on the second floor. The dish consists of two pieces of filhote fish, a typical fish from the Amazon region and from Pará, rice with jambu (a regional delicacy), cabbage salad, and fries. As always, I included the price in detail in the video! The three large iron pavilions are typical of the second half of the 19th century architecture, and the large cranes that mark the exterior area are from the beginning of the 20th century. There is also a steam engine from the mid-1800s that formerly supplied power to the docks.
