Singing in the Rain - Jim Riggs and Vincent Lopez at the 3/24 Kimball Theater Organ
Here is a video shot earlier today during a visit to the estate of Bob Markworth and his stunning 3/24 Kimball theater organ. the organ originated at a theater in Pennsylvania and then was restored and put in the basement of Mr. Markworth's home with the addition of a few ranks of Wurlitzer pipes. The organ sounds wonderful and speaks into the room very well. This video duet is of a recording of Jim Riggs playing "Singing in the Rain" with an Ampico player piano roll recorded by Vincent Lopez. Enjoy! ---------------‐‐------------------------------------------------ Unfortunately, Mr. Riggs passed away yesterday, October 3rd, 2022. I was saddened to hear of his passing. The theater organ world has definitely lost a wonderful musician and person.
