Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Ford F-450, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Pace Edwards Bedlocker Electric Retractable Tonneau Cover. When it comes to a tonneau cover, which one is gonna be best for you is really just gonna depend on your needs. There's about a billion of them out there. And so for me, I can think of three big things. First one being just to keep the weather out of your bed. And if that's really all you care about, you could probably get away with kinda your classic roll-up one or maybe a folding one, something like that. It seems like a lot of people are worried about security, which is definitely understandable. You got expensive tools back here or whatever you're putting back here, and it's a pain to have to unload it every night and things like that. So combined with a locking tailgate, a cover like this, one that is made from metal, aluminum type cover, it's gonna give you really good security. I mean, there's no way you're punching through something like this. I mean, you could obviously, but it takes a ton of effort. And so if you're really concerned with security and keeping the water off your stuff, something like this or even just a manual roll-up type aluminum cover would be a great choice. And one other thing I can think of is the looks, aesthetics. I think these look cool, personally. Especially these real low profile ones. And if that's what you're going for, something like this kinda definitely checks all three of those boxes and then some. With it being electric, you get all the bells and whistles and it makes this thing really appealing to a lot of different people. But enough is enough, let's actually see this thing work in here. The way it's gonna work is by using a remote. So you get a couple of remotes there and you open it up and that's really all there is to it. I'm not gonna lie, it's kinda slow, but can't really complain too much. You don't even have to lift a finger. I mean, you push a button and you're rolling. Once it comes in, you can actually stop it. So I'll give you an example of that. So that's at fully open, pretty much full bed space still. You lose a little bit from the canister, but not too much. And it's gonna go the same, do the same deal whenever you get ready to close it. So let's say, for example too, say if you got a load like up to here, you can hit open again and it'll stop it in this position. So you don't have to have it completely closed or completely open. You can find that sweet spot where you wanna keep it, pause it, and lock it in there. So that's pretty cool. You can also, actually, there's a kit available that is a switch. So you can have a hard wire into your cab or something like that, wherever you wanna put at a switch. So you can operate in that way too, not have to rely just on your remotes. Something I do wanna show you guys is I talked about the profile, the tonneau cover and kind of how aesthetically pleasing it is, at least to me. I think a lot of people would agree. Especially, you're adding nothing to the top of your bed. I mean, there is a tiny lip that sits on top of your bed rails, but it's essentially flush. I mean, for the most part. So this is a super clean factory type appearance that I think a lot of people find attractive. Just kinda give you guys another shot of how low profile this actually is. There's really nothing there. It's about a 16th of an inch thick. So that's what it's gonna add to the top of your truck bed. For whatever reason, if you're trying to figure something out with that, you got that measurement. With that said too, one thing I did notice is we have these covers here where for our stake pockets. And once these rails are in place, they are going to kinda interfere with those a little bit. Huge deal for a lot of people Probably not. But something I found and I thought was worth noting. There is quite a few people that asked us about lighting for inside of the bed. Not only for when you put a tonneau cover on, but just in general, actually. But I can definitely understand, especially the tonneau cover. If you don't have to open it up and deal with it. With the King Ranch, we had some factory lighting here. I can't speak for the other models of the 450s I'm not sure if they all come up with this or not. Even if they do, if you want more light
