Does Shutter Speed Really Matter for Video?

Your shutter speed controls the amount of motion blur seen in your footage. So cranking your shutter to compensate for exposure becomes an issue because you eliminate realistic blur that we see with our eyes. Rule of thumb: your shutter speed should be double your frame rate. (If you have a cinema camera, you can set your shutter to the angle of 180 degrees and forget it 😏 no more dealing with speeds) Get creative: you can introduce more motion blur into your footage by slowing your shutter speed down, which can provide a creative look for some shots. _________________ Download my 'Proposal Template' and 'Negotiation' Guides for Free: https://trenterwin.carrd.co/ _________________ GEAR I RECOMMEND AND USE (Amazon links): Favorite Variable ND: https://amzn.to/3KsDqxb Favorite SSD drives for editing: https://amzn.to/3JUMSZW Starter Camera (4K): https://amzn.to/3xmRr8F My camera: https://amzn.to/3pv1VyQ Favorite lav microphone: https://amzn.to/3Ckix3R Travel tripod: https://amzn.to/3dHBm6T Favorite Camera Strap: https://amzn.to/3Qvl0g6 AirTag for all my bags/cases: https://amzn.to/3Cdd9j2 My Daily Backpack: https://amzn.to/3CeFbum Tech Pouch/Organizer: https://amzn.to/3T3aezx Best SD Cards for 4K Filming: https://amzn.to/3Kc5Rhy FAVORITE BOOKS FOR BUSINESS: Read this first: https://amzn.to/3QOYfn4 Marketing/Messaging: https://amzn.to/3c1U3lp One of the best all-time: https://amzn.to/3c1U8pd ____ Some links are affiliate links that give me a small commission and help to keep this channel going.
