Unlike most takeover modules, however, the PGP-IO is slimmed down to the size of a standard wireless alarm sensor. This does limit the number of wired devices that can be connected; however, the low cost and simplicity of the PGP-IO's installation make it an ideal option for smaller takeover situations. Offering 4 total terminals, the PGP-IO by default offers 2 inputs for wired sensors, or simple triggers, and 2 outputs that can provide up to 15VDC @ 1A to external devices. The device may be configured to operate as 4 inputs if desired, though. The inputs work just like wired zones on your alarm system, and the outputs are programmed exactly like PGMs that would come with standard full-sized takeover modules. The PGP-IO has a huge number of use cases, though it is important to remember that it is a battery-powered device, so heavy output use will drain your battery.
