Carmelita Correa rompe récord mexicano en salto con garrocha

An excellent start to the Olympic year for Chiapas athlete Carmelita Correa, who a couple of weeks ago broke the Mexican record in the pole vault at an indoor event in Reno, Nevada, United States. At that time, Correa set the mark at 4.20 meters. This weekend, Carmelita managed to break her own record, setting a new Mexican record of 4.30 meters, a height that is close to the 4.50 meters with which she aims for the dream of competing at the Rio 2016 Games.
