According to the Archaeological Department's gazette year 1904, it was constructed in 1324 AD. According to legend, there used to be a Fras tree at the site of the temple where the saint used to perform penance. Once, in a dream, a saint saw a Shivling buried under the tree. The saint told the local people about the dream and during excavation, a Shivling was found under the tree, which was installed in the temple. Siswal Dham is said to be the place where the Pandavas and Mother Kunti worshipped Lord Shiva. The restoration work of this temple has been going on for about a year, which is being built on the lines of the Somnath Temple. It is said that the stone used in this is the same as that used in the construction of the Shri Ram Temple. It is said that there is something written on this Shivalinga in very fine letters which are difficult to see with the naked eye. It is said that some mantras are written on it. It is also said that by meditating here, one can see the vision of Shiva and Parvati in the Shivalinga. The wishes of the devotees coming here are fulfilled in a very short time.
