Narrow—one lane in each direction, severely damaged in places. This is how the Daugavgriva Highway, which connects the Bolderaja neighborhood with the rest of the city, looks today and has for the past several decades. It has no lighting, no traffic lights, no pedestrian crossings, not even sidewalks. Accidents occur here almost every week.
