Laikipia ranch invasions: Rumuruti residents decry police harassment

The crisis unfolding in Laikipia County has hit another level with residents protesting what they term as police harassment. Tonight many families are sleeping in the cold after their homes were reportedly torched by the police. As the struggle for pasture persists herders and ranchers are at loggerheads once again, with some ranchers in the area are now setting their properties on fire to avoid it being destroyed by pastrolalists.
