We think we know Bodhidharma. However, the moment we are asked who he is, it becomes difficult to answer readily. An old monk sitting facing a wall, an intense gaze, nine years of facing the wall. To what extent is this familiar image actually true? This video is not content intended to explain a single figure. Rather, it is an attempt to ask "what we are under the illusion that we know." Bodhidharma was not someone who added something new. He was someone who cleared away what had already accumulated. A figure who challenged scripture-centered Buddhism, severed attachment to written words, and urged us to look inward, not outward. And at the end of it all, only one thing remains: "Enlightenment is not attained, but revealed." In this video, through Bodhidharma's historical reality, later reconstructions, and his philosophy organized around the *Treatise on Entering the Four Paths*, we attempt to let go of the premises we have been holding onto, one by one.
