This video was shot on the 8th of December 2012, the birthday of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. Rinpoche offered a huge birthday cake to the students who were present, then went on singing Tibetan songs, and explained how even a simple song can help in creating awareness about the Tibetan language and culture in our times. He stressed how the Tibetan people can face adversities with a smile on their face, with the inner strength that comes from their ancient philosophy and way of life based on compassion and non-violence, a culture that is a precious and unique part of the universal human heritage.
