woo, i’m wild!!!!!! this week we return to 1998 & revisit another Nickelodeon classic - COUSIN SKEETER - since the Cousin Skeeter theme song is a bop & it’s been 20 YEARS since it ended. yikes. Cousin Skeeter was a black sitcom about Bobby Walker, his parents, Andre & Vanessa Walker, his talkative neighbor, Nina Jones, and of course, the fast talking, constantly rhyming, troublemaker Skeeter - getting into wacky antics each episode. ya know, sometimes they sneak into baseball games, sometimes they get lost in space. makes sense. Cousin Skeeter premiered on September 01, 1998, ending on March 11, 2001 with a total of 3 seasons and 52 episodes - including a one hour crossover special (Woo, I’m Wild, Wild West) with Kenan & Kel (yup) and an hour & a half movie special (New Kids on the Planet) where they introduce Nicole, a love interest for Skeeter and find themselves on an alien planet … this show was wild, y’all - yet i still loved it as a kid. so, in this episode, i determine why with a Cousin Skeeter retrospective. let’s have some fun, get into some 90’s nostalgia, & throwback Thursday … or whatever the kids are saying these days.
