Executive Actions and Their Impact on Charitable Nonprofits
The last couple weeks have been a whirlwind for many nonprofits, from the more than 100 Executive Orders (EOs) issued by President Trump to the confusion about the funding freeze ordered in a memo from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). While a judge granted an Administrative Stay in the case filed by the National Council of Nonprofits and others, and OMB rescinded the memo, the EOs are still in effect, and charitable nonprofits with federal grants are still feeling the impact of these decisions. This free, national webinar held on Friday, February 7 from 3 – 4 pm Eastern allowed attendees to learn more about EOs, the ones most directly or indirectly impacting charitable nonprofits, and the latest on the legal challenges. 2:49 Opening Remarks with Diane Yentel, President & CEO at the National Council of Nonprofits 11:32 Overview of Executive Orders with Tiffany Gourley Carter, Policy Counsel at the National Council of Nonprofits 24:32 State Perspective with Nonoko Sato, President & CEO at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits 39:37 Overview of Lawsuit with Jessica Morton, Senior Counsel at Democracy Forward 47:42 Q&A with Panelists 54:30 Closing Remarks with Diane Yentel, President & CEO at the National Council of Nonprofits Learn more about the recent executive orders: https://www.councilofnonprofits.org/i...
