The Resonance Space 1st Webinar: Scaling Democratic Innovations amid Scarce Financial Resources

How can democratic innovations be scaled when financial resources are increasingly limited? This first webinar of the Resonance Space series, developed within the ScaleDem project, brought together democracy practitioners to discuss practical and resource-conscious approaches to citizen participation. Moderated by Constantin Schäfer (ifok), the session featured contributions from Daniel Oppold (Service Center for Citizen Participation Baden-Württemberg), Sofía Castillo (ISWE Foundation / Global Citizens’ Assembly) and Cheri-Leigh Erasmus (Accountability Lab), followed by interactive discussions with participants. The Resonance Space is a peer-learning and reflection series exploring challenges and opportunities for scaling democratic innovations across Europe and beyond. Recorded on 8 June 2026
