Bigi Pan (Suriname)

Bigi pan is a birders paradise in nortwest Suriname. It is famous for its large red ibis and flamingo population. Because of the climate change the last few years the lake is because of the (even for Suriname) extreme heath sometimes completely dry. On our trip the water level was very low and most of the park was no longer reachable by boat.
