Hello there! I hope you enjoyed my video on the Seal Beach NWS Railroad that not only protected this county, it also powered a region, and restored a coastline. The Seal Beach NWS Railroad was built in 1944 when the weapons station opened. It was slowly phased out in the 1990s and 2000s due to safety concerns, and rising costs and a report citing that it would be more efficient to completely transition to trucks. The trains were sidelined in 2008. The remaining engines were donated to a museum in 2023, and the box cars have all been scrapped in the last 4-5 years. No copyright infringement intended.
