How to make 100% coconut oil soap - Simple cold process soap making. In this video I show you how to make 100 % coconut oil soap. This is a very simple, unscented cold process soap great for beginners. It’s made with a 20 % superfat to counteract the high cleansing effect of coconut oil. You will only need 3-4 ingredients to make this soap. One of the ingredients is lye, please be careful and wear safety equipment when handling lye and don’t breathe in the fumes. This soap needs a 4-6 week cure before it's ready to be used, I forgot to write that in the video :) 100 % coconut oil soap recipe with 20 % superfat Total batch weight: 707 g 500 g coconut oil 124.6 g distilled water ( 37% lye concentration) optional: 10 g citric acid Citric acid will react with lye and neutralize some of it.
