Roger Blough arriving Duluth (2014)
A surprise morning arrival of the lake freighter Roger Blough into Duluth, MN @ 10:18 am on July 12, 2014. The arrival was not expected by the port nor the bridge and nearby museum, at least that's what was rumored through the crowd lining the pier to watch the arrival. The captain also gives a dual salute, first the 'traditional' captain's salute, then a master salute, competing against the lift bridge's 6-chime westinghouse horn salute. It's customary to have the boats and the bridge do this.
