Porsche 924 Vacuum Leak Repair Using A Smoke Tester!

Porsche 924 Vacuum leak repair using a smoke tester! The Porsche 924 has had a rough idle and appears hot on the temperature gauge since I bought the car. I suspected a vacuum leak but to test my theory I bought a vacuum tester that uses smoke to locate any holes. This worked fantastic and quickly found a cracked idle air control hose under then manifold. I was able to source a hose by matching up the shape at my local oreillys. As far as the smoke machine is concerned there are a million options out there ranging from inexpensive DIY solutions to higher end devices so do your research there to see if something fits your needs.
