Sergi - The Foggy Night

From radioelectronauts.com: Georgian-German artist Sergi Gvarjaladze has announced the beginning of a new musical series in which he explores the use of artificial intelligence as an active creative partner in the development of songs, demos, visuals, and release concepts. The new direction marks a fresh phase in Sergi’s artistic work. Drawing on both older unfinished material and newly emerging ideas, he is using AI applications intensively to shape songs into developed demo versions and, in selected cases, into public releases. Before this, the artist created a new synthetic version of his well known song Artificial Love, mocking project Subtropika, reworking both the music and the video through the use of AI-based tools and processes. According to the concept behind the series, some of these works will later be re-recorded with live musicians or reinterpreted in stage performances planned for next year, creating a dialogue between synthetic creation tools and traditional live performance. One of the first and most personal songs in this series is The Foggy Night, a baroque pop piece dedicated to his wife and to Prague, a city deeply meaningful to them both. The song combines nostalgic romance, nocturnal atmosphere, and cinematic storytelling, turning the city into both setting and emotional symbol. In this project, he not only wrote the song, but also developed it through synthetic and AI-assisted production methods, treating technology not simply as a utility, but as part of the artistic process itself. The release is also accompanied by a visually ambitious video, which expands the song’s world through a layered, atmospheric interpretation. The video was created through a complex hybrid process, partly based on photographs taken by him in Prague and partly developed further with the help of AI visual tools. This new body of work reflects a broader interest in how artists can use emerging technologies not to replace authorship, but to extend it. For Sergi, AI becomes a way to revisit fragments, memories, melodies, and unrealized sketches, transforming them into complete emotional statements that can later evolve again in live form. With The Foggy Night, he opens a new chapter in which songwriting, memory, image-making, and artificial intelligence merge into a single creative practice. The release signals the start of a larger series of experimental yet deeply personal works that will continue to unfold across music, video, and live interpretation.
