Hardridge Creek Campground in Alabama

We went away for a short weekend getaway with our friend, John. He had just recently purchased his RV and we teamed up to go camping in Alabama at the Hardridge Creek Campground. We cycled around the campground and just chilled at out campsites. John introduced us to the Blackstone grill! We loved cooking on it! We lost power for most of one day due to a storm that knocked out power to over 500 homes in the region. I quickly learned that my two lead-acid batteries on the RV were not good enough to last through an extended power outage. They actually lasted approximately 20 minutes before dying. We could not keep our refrigerator running, so we gave away food before it went bad. We later invested in a LifePO4 battery, which was a game changer for camping! We also purchased a Blackstone grill shortly after this trip! We also met an amazing couple that was camping next to us, Les and Donna! We became Facebook friends and hope to meet up with them again during our travels through Oklahoma!
