Metro Local Line 256 Southbound: Sierra Madre Villa Station to Highland Park Station (Full Ride)

Welcome Aboard! In this video experience the full Southbound ride of the now discontinued LA Metro Local Line 256 from Pasadena (Sierra Madre Villa Station) to Highland Park (Avenue 57/Marmion). In this ride we will see the cities and communities of Pasadena, Altadena, and Highland Park. Line 256 was a daily service that ran along Washington Bl, and Avenue 64 and had a total of - stops. Route Changes: Line 256 originally ran between Commerce and Altadena via Eastern, Avenue 64, and Hill but has since gone through numerous changes since the introduction of the NextGen Bus Plan. In June 2021 Line 256 was shortened from Altadena (Mendocino - Lake) to the Sierra Madre Villa Station and was rerouted to operate via Washington Bl in place of Line 268. In December 2021 Line 256 was shortened to Cal State LA with the city of Commerce Transit taking over operations between Cal State LA and Commerce (Union Pacific - Triggs) via Eastern as their Line 200. In June 2023 Line 256 was shortened again running only between Highland Park and Sierra Madre Villa Station with Line 665 being extended to the Rose Hill Transit Center in place of Line 256 and service on Collis Av was discontinued and replaced with Metro Micro. As of December 2024 this version of Line 256 is now Pasadena Transit Line 33.
