Woolloomooloo - How to get there using public transport. Aussie Tucker
How to travel to Woolloomooloo using public transport. Woolloomooloo can be a tricky place to get to by public transport. Here's how. Join me on a relaxed and scenic journey through the heart of Sydney as we travel from Central Station to the harbourside suburb of Woolloomooloo! Locally known as "The Loo" Instead of taking the easy option with Bus 311, we mix things up by hopping on an Eastern Suburbs train to Martin Place before setting off on foot through some of Sydney’s most iconic landmarks. Along the way, we explore Macquarie Street, pass by Sydney Hospital, and take a look inside the historic New South Wales Parliament House and the State Library of NSW, including the Mitchell Library. From there, we wander through The Domain to the Art Gallery of New South Wales, where you can soak up culture (for free!) and enjoy one of the city’s best views. After a quick coffee stop, we continue downhill toward Woolloomooloo, crossing over the Cahill Expressway and uncovering the fascinating history of the area. Once in Woolloomooloo, we explore the famous Finger Wharf, check out the waterfront restaurants, and visit a true Sydney icon — Harry’s Café de Wheels — where we grab a classic Aussie pie with peas and gravy. We wrap up the trip with a visit to a local pub, a refreshing drink, and a look at how to catch the bus back to the city. 📍 Highlights include: Central Station → Martin Place (Train info): https://transportnsw.info Macquarie Street (Location): https://maps.google.com/?q=Macquarie+...
