Helm, Associated Press correspondent for New York City and Washington (1910-1918) and detailed by AP to Wilson and TR during the 1912 campaign. TR rides his horse away from Sagamore, returns to Sagamore, dismounts and feeds the horse from his hand, plays with his three dogs, and then reviews his mail assisted by his son Archie.
