Rising Hollywood star Glen Powell (Top Gun: Maverick, Twisters) is in the city centre to shoot scenes for the much-anticipated reboot of the action-packed sci-fi film 'The Running Man', which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead role. Based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel of the same name, 'The Running Man' (1987) centres on Ben Richards, a falsely convicted policeman in dystopian America who gets his shot at freedom when he must forcibly participate in a TV game show where convicts must battle killers for their freedom. Edgar Wright, the English filmmaker behind 'Hot Fuzz', 'Baby Driver' and 'Shaun of the Dead', is directing, with Wright's 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World' collaborator Michael Bacall writing the script. The 36-year-old Twisters actor, who is from Austin, Texas, in the USA, was filming The Running Man in East London.
