Puerto Cabezas, a city on the very tip of the Northern Autonomous Region of Nicaragua, is a city that no tourists visit. Why? It's because this region of Nicaragua is known to be one of the roughest parts of the country, with limited transportation and no tourist infrastructure. The city of Puerto Cabezas has one of the largest Miskito populations in the entire country. The Miskito are an indigenous group of people that lived in Nicaragua before the Spanish arrived. When I arrived to this city, I realized how chaotic and crazy it was....exactly what I was looking for...
