Bears Ears National Monument, in Utah, is quite possibly the most controversial piece of public land in the United States. It finds itself right in the crosshairs of the larger battle over public lands in the West, and three different Presidential administrations - Obama, Trump, and Biden - have altered the monuments boundaries. The Bears Ears Controversy can sometimes make it hard to understand just what's going on in Southeastern Utah.
