Robert Conrad and others Wild Wild West Stunts Season 1
Some of the stunt work done by Robert Conrad (and occasionally a double) on The Wild Wild West. In the 1st season things started modestly, concentrating mostly on simple jumps and stage fighting. As Conrad convinced the producers of his abilities, however, they began to allow more elaborate climbing and more dangerous leaps. Around the 3:00 mark in this video you can see one of the more questionable moments (Conrad usually claims that he did all stunts, other than horse riding, on the show), when it appears that a double may have been used (if only for the initial impact). In contrast is a nice moment at the 6:58 mark, when Conrad does a very impressive backward roll, ONTO HIS FEET, out of a wooden chair to evade a (non-existent) rattlesnake menace. At this point he was just getting started.
