The 149th Rath Yatra is to be held in Ahmedabad this year. Before that, a water festival has been organized on the day of Jeth Sud Purnima today. In the morning, a grand water festival will start from the Jagannathji temple in Jamalpur with flags, elephants and drums. It will reach the banks of the Sabarmati river. After worshipping the Ganges here according to the scriptural rituals, saints and dignitaries will go to the middle of the river through a cruise and fill 108 holy urns with water.
