Episode 126 Namaste, We are Shirish and Pooja and Welcome to a Traditional Konkani Breakfast Special Episode of @RedSoilStories I was working in the farm for this year's rice farming. Pre monsoon rain has just calmed down and we are now waiting for the monsoon. Pooja brought me breakfast for the day and told me that there are many bananas left from one of the bunch we had harvested earlier. I had asked her to give those to our neighbors still there were many left and were ripening. She told she will prepare something from those and will start preparing today for tomorrow's breakfast. She decided to use the ripened bananas and make some Konkani Buns and Banana Dhondas ( Cake ). She also going to prepare famous tomato salad bhaji to eat with the buns. Later in the evening she started preparing for the Banana Dhondas and Konkani Buns. She prepared the dhondas and kept it for overnight on charcoal for the delicious flavor. She also kneaded the dough for the Konkani Buns and kept it for fermentation for 6-7 hours. Next day early in the morning she prepared the buns and the salad bhaji for the breakfast and also cut the dhondas. We both had the breakfast and enjoyed these delicacies.
