Also, in 4th gear, when reaching maximum speed, keeping the accelerator pressed and the brake applied activates additional acceleration (overdrive). This doesn't interfere with braking in 4th gear, as you can release the accelerator and the brake trigger will now function as the brake. When braking to a complete stop, continuing to hold the brake engages reverse, and the brake pedal now functions as the accelerator for reverse.
