In this powerful evangelistic and pastoral sermon, we reflect on Christ's call to become workers in his Kingdom, in light of the Gospel of Matthew 9:36–10:8 and the teaching of Saint Paul VI in the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Nuntiandi. We will discover that evangelization begins with the witness of life, but it also requires explicitly proclaiming Jesus Christ, leading people to a personal encounter with Him, to conversion, to the sacraments, and to a life transformed by the Holy Spirit. Jesus continues to ask today: “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” (Isaiah 6:8) And He expects many to respond: “Here I am, Lord, send me.” (Isaiah 6:8) May this message strengthen your faith, renew your hope, and ignite in your heart the fire of the Holy Spirit to proclaim Christ with joy and courage.
