Over time, this city has become one of the jewels of the Middle East and its center, designed in the 17th century by the Safavid dynasty. They made it a true garden city, inspired by the model of the ancestral Persian garden. From the 18th century, the gardens, too expensive to maintain, were gradually destroyed.
