Witnesses who found body allegedly stolen by Dr Nandipha Magudumana speak out
The four accused in aiding the escape from jail of rapist and murderer Thabo Bester will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate's Court tomorrow. This includes Bester's girlfriend, Dr Nandipha Magudumana who faces four charges relating to murder, aiding and abetting an escape, fraud and violation of dead bodies. Magudumana is alleged to have stolen three bodies from Free State mortuaries to aid her lover's escape, one of which she claimed was her father. That body was later found in a river. SABC News senior reporter Chriselda Lewis and cameraman Gqabi Njokweni, tracked down the witnesses who discovered that body, calling the police not knowing it would feature in the case of one of South Africa's most daring jailbreaks.
