Dry Adiabatic Lapse Rate DALR, Saturated Adiabatic Lapse Rate SALR, Environmental Lapse Rate ELR.
In today's video, we are going to talk about the Adiabatic Lapse Rate (DALR), the Saturated Adiabatic Lapse Rate (SALR), and the Environmental Lapse Rate (ELR). The Lapse rate is the change of temperature with the Altitude, according to the International Standard Atmosphere the Environmental Lapse Rate is 2degrees every 1000feet. This means that if you climb at an altitude of 1000feet the temperature will be 2 degrees colder. An Adiabatic Lapse Rate is a change in temperature without energy exchange, an airmass cools down or warms up adiabatically by expansion or contraction. An air mass that is dry means that it has not condensed and become a cloud yet. If the Dry Air mass starts to climb will start to expand (due to lower pressure and density) and cool down adiabatically at a rate approximately of 3degrees per 1000 feet until it reaches the dew point where it will condense and became a cloud. From this point, the Saturated Air Mass (cloud) will cool down with the SALR which is approximately 1.5 degrees per 1000 feet. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you feel like supporting the PILOTCLIMB channel with a donation you can send a PayPal or a crypto transaction to the addresses below: PayPal address: https://www.paypal.me/PilotClimb BTC address: 3DMaWztGYufX9WH33hSVNouwVpMEBA6m1t ETH address: 0x486fcA0234e2950D2068d1171379F5Efb36B911A ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 👇To watch the video regarding the CRM click the link below👇 • Crew Resource Management (CRM) - [What It ... 👇To watch the video regarding Airmanship click the link below👇 • Airmanship Explained By a Boeing Captain! ... 👇To watch the video regarding Vmca speed click the link below👇 • Vmca (Minimum Control Air Speed) Explaiend... #PILOTCLIMB Timestamps: 00:00 Intro 000:50 What is an Air Parcel 04:10 What is an Adiabatic Lapse Rate 08:15 DALR, SALR, ELR 13:15 Air Parcel Lapse Rate 18:08 Conclusions ============================================================== Disclaimer: THIS VIDEO IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.
