Surah Ash-Shura, verse 20, emphasizes that Allah will increase the rewards of those who work for the Hereafter, and grant some of the blessings of this world to those who only desire this world, but they will not receive any of it in the Hereafter. Benefits of the World: Whoever pursues life and endeavors solely for this world will attain what Allah has destined for them in this world, but they will have no share in the Hereafter. The following is the complete reading and translation of Surah Ash-Shura Verse 20: مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيْدُ حَرْثَ الْاٰخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهٗ فِيْ حَرْثِهْٖ مِنْهَاۙ وَمَا لَهٗ فِى الْاٰخِرَةِ مِنْ نَّصِيْبٍ Man kāna yurīdu ḥarṡal-ākhirati nazid lahū fī ḥarṡih(ī), wa man kāna yurīdu ḥarṡad-dun-yā nu'tihi minhā, wa mā lahū fil-ākhirati min naṣīb(in). "Whoever desires profit in the afterlife, We will increase that profit for him, and whoever desires profit in this world, We will give him part of it (worldly profit), but he will have no share in the hereafter.
