Treno 5 automotrici ALn 668 accoppiate

Traveling to Brescia on the classic ALe 582 trains in February 2018, we looked at the progress of the high-speed line that runs alongside the traditional line between Ospitaletto and Brescia Ovest, but which still arrives at the station on the traditional tracks. Entering the station, we passed a Brescia-Edolo B1: two ALn 668 railcars framing a Breda B68 trailer train from way back in 1960. In the station, trains painted like colorful palettes and the large construction site that is expanding the passenger tracks from 7 to 16, with tracks 10 and 11 being dedicated to the high-speed high-speed line in the future. FR Frecciarossa trains are running on tracks 1 and 2, still until December of this year. The timetables show delays and a cancelled FR train. On the east-side section, a pair of ALn 668 series 1000 trains from the 1970s (numbers 1118 and 1029). A Occhialiuta De 520 Nord Cargo, formerly a D 753 of the then Czechoslovakian railways, passes by. Service vehicles are at work, a 4x4 Unimog road-rail vehicle and a tamping machine are in operation. A double of Coradia Alstoms is running as regional trains on the Verona-Milan line. Delays are increasing on the timetables. A Traxx E 483 008 Nord Cargo passes by. On the west side of the station are the three terminus sections of the Valcamonica railway, formerly SNFT, where, amidst one announced delay after another, a nice B1 with two Trappulelle 668 series 140, the 148 and the 142 and the trailered Breda B 68 07 stops. An E 652 passes by, still a Tiger. A train of five coupled ALn 668 railcars arrives on the sixth track (a three-car set of series 3100 with a double set of series 1000). At the station, the train is divided: the three-car set of 668 series 3100 stops on a small siding, while the pair of series 1000 trains (numbers 1036 and 1074, both built in 1977) will take the next train to Parma as Regionale 20341. I board for the short journey to S. Zeno Folzano, which sees a large freight traffic due to the metallurgical industries in the area. The connecting-rod diesel 245 2150 is shunting. A Dispolok Siemens E 189 MRCE is passing alone. An E 652 is shunting. The electromechanical Leopolder bells are still ringing in the station. I return to Brescia on a triple set of ALn 668 series 3100. A Valcamonica railway B1 is still at the station. I return home on a classic convoy of an old ALe 582 electric locomotive.
