1000+ HP Mercedes AMG GTR: Custom Multi-Map Tune & Insane Road Test Reactions We brought this Mercedes AMG GTR into the shop to unlock its true potential using our in-house ECU software. The goal was to build a custom multi-map tune, but after the initial setup, we knew there was still more power left on the table. After further revisions and pushing the limits on the dyno, we successfully dialed the car in to make a massive 908 wheel horsepower (WHP). Accounting for drivetrain loss, that translates to well over 1000 horsepower at the crank. To see exactly what kind of power-to-weight ratio we were dealing with, we put the AMG GTR on the scales before taking it out for a drive. The road test speaks for itself—the acceleration is relentless, and the in-cabin reactions capture exactly what it feels like to unleash a 1000+ HP street car.
