Tsuneyuki Shimoda Born in 1967 in Machida City, Tokyo. While living in Brazil as an elementary school student, he encountered a soccer radio broadcast that inspired him to pursue a career as a play-by-play announcer. He joined Sendai Broadcasting in 1990 and has been freelance since 2005. He primarily covers soccer broadcasts (J.League and major European leagues). He broadcast live the Milan Derby between Japan and Cameroon at the 2019 World Cup in South Africa, featuring Keisuke Honda and Yuto Nagatomo. He has extensive experience, having covered three Champions League finals and five Europa League finals. He also provides live commentary for sports other than soccer. Ryohei Hayashi Born September 8, 1986, in Hachioji, Tokyo. He played for Tokyo Verdy's youth development organization from junior to youth level, and after graduating from Meiji University, he joined Verdy in 2009. He excelled as a large, left-handed forward. He transferred to Kashiwa Reysol in 2010 and helped the team win the J1 League in 2011. He subsequently played for Montedio Yamagata, Mito Hollyhock, Tokyo V again, FC Machida Zelvia, and Thespakusatsu Gunma before retiring in 2020. He has played in 300 J.League games, scoring 67 goals. He was known as an expert on international soccer during his playing days and made numerous media appearances. He currently serves as a commentator on a wide range of sports, from the Premier League to the J.League, and is a leading figure in the sport.
